Lilit / How we calculate
How we calculate
Lilit is an app for reflection and entertainment. We want you to be able to check where our numbers come from and what we will never promise.
What the code calculates and what AI writes
- Planet positions, houses, aspects, moon phases, eclipses, retrograde periods and good-time windows are calculated by the app's code from astronomical tables, not by a neural network.
- The AI masters only put ready-made facts into words. If something they say contradicts the calculation, a fact guard stops that sentence from being spoken.
- Dates and numbers in the blog articles on the website are inserted by code, not by a person.
How we check the calculations
- Planet positions: 200 dates between 1950 and 2050 and 10 celestial bodies are checked against NASA/JPL Horizons. The difference is up to 1.7 arcseconds for the Sun and no more than 19 for the other bodies.
- Eclipses: 71 eclipses of 2020–2035 are checked against the NASA catalogue (Fred Espenak).
- New and full moons: 136 and 136 in 2020–2030 are checked against JPL Horizons.
- Planet stations (start and end of retrograde): 201 stations of 2020–2030 are checked against JPL Horizons.
- Houses: 62 charts in five house systems are checked against Swiss Ephemeris, an independent reference.
- These checks run automatically with every code change.
What we do not do
- We do not predict illness, death, pregnancy or disasters, and give no medical, legal or investment advice.
- We do not promise winnings and do not push anyone towards gambling.
- We do not do curses or love spells and never explain suffering with “karma”.
- The masters are openly labelled as AI characters and never pose as living people. They disagree politely instead of just agreeing.
- Distressing messages are recognised: then the master makes no forecasts, offers support and suggests turning to loved ones or help services.
- If a very large number of questions is asked in one day, the app gently suggests a pause. Questions are not blocked.
- Data goes to an AI service only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Honest about the limits
- Astrology is a tradition of interpretation, not a proven science. We do not claim the sky rules fate.
- The app has “Mood and sky”: it tests statistically whether your mood matches the sky and stays silent while there is too little data. Coincidences are not causes.
- Found a mistake? Write to support and we will fix it.
